June ’17 – Historic façade moved

The Carolina Theatre’s façade was taken down and preserved by the City of Charlotte in 2005. The pieces have been stored under the theatre’s stage ever since.

In order to asses and clean the stone, it has been moved to a storage yard. The crew from Stone Restorations reassembled the pieces on the ground to check for damage and identify any missing pieces. It will wait here until we are ready to incorporate it into the theatre’s new main lobby.
